Kenyan actress Trisha Khalid has captured hearts nationwide with her role in Citizen TV’s hit show “Becky,” but her path to stardom was far from typical.

In a recent interview, Khalid revealed that she once worked as a bus conductor for Modern Coast.

“It was one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever done,” Khalid confessed. “I got fatigued, I got sick, so I had to stop.”

This revelation sheds light on the actress’s humble beginnings and determination. Khalid, whose real name is Fosi Mpule Hamis, was born in Mombasa and raised by a single mother.

Despite the challenges, she pursued her dreams, eventually landing a breakthrough role in the TV series “Kovu.”

Khalid credits Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan for giving her the opportunity that launched her acting career. Her talent hasn’t gone unnoticed – in 2020, she was nominated for Best Lead Actress at the prestigious Kalasha International Awards.

From bus conductor to award-nominated actress, Trisha Khalid’s journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring performers across Kenya.
