The father by the name ‘Adolphus Simba’ narrates how his son cut his mother’s neck to a point of almost killing her.

He claimed that his son unexpectedly fell sick and started developing mental illness. The father said that the illness was due to the depression his son was facing for quite sometimes.

However, the mental situation of his son’s health worsened and he decided to take him into the hospital, but with several failed attempts for medications.

The incident had happened when the son woke up one day early in the morning and carried a machete which he used to cut his mother’s neck several times repeatedly.

During the incident the neighborhoods who rushed into Simba’s home became furious and disappointed. They wanted to take actions against son’s conduct towards his mother by brutally punishing him with no mercy.

In the meantime, Mr. Simba received the sad news while at work and immediately came back home to find out what was happening. He found the crowded neighbors ready to beat up his son.

He immediately calmed down the crowd and claimed that they should not beat up his son because he knew very well the son was mentally sick. He instead ordered the crowd to take his son to the police station while himself will rush his dear wife into the neirby hospital.

The wife underwent underwent several surgical treatments and at that time they had only 700,000 Kenyan shillings in their account. The money they had got together from their business of supplying cerials and other foodstuffs.

The hospital bills was charged per day per bed and became too expensive and finally Simba couldn’t believe that their money got finished at a glance “Seven hundred thousand is not a small money and that’s how rich we were,” he claimed.

In order to get his wife’s health back, he was so determined and decided to sell everything he had for surgeries. ” One night, I decided to give out my home, my residential home as a settlement because I had no other ways,” He said.

After 13 years of medical treatments, the journey seemed over and Samba narrates that he had been bedriding and feeding his wife alone and believed life will turn back to normal soon.
