A terrible accident happened early Friday morning near Mai-Mahiu, Kenya. A big truck carrying fancy cars crashed, killing at least one person and destroying several expensive vehicles.
What Happened?
Around 7 AM, the truck driver lost control while going down a steep hill on the Nakuru-Nairobi highway. The truck, loaded with luxury cars, tipped over and fell down a cliff into a valley below.
People nearby rushed to help. They saw the truck and cars badly smashed up at the bottom of the cliff. The crash caused a big traffic jam on the busy road.
The Damage
- One person died in the crash
- Another person was badly hurt
- Six luxury cars were destroyed:
- 4 Mercedes-Benz
- 2 Toyota Land Cruisers
- The cars were heading to Uganda
Why It Happened
The police say the driver couldn’t control the truck on a sharp turn. This area, called C-corner, is known to be dangerous. The road is narrow and curves sharply.

- Police came to help and manage traffic
- The wrecked vehicles were towed away
- Local people want the road to be made wider and safer
