Swahili is one of Africa’s most widely spoken languages. Which are these countries in Africa that speaks Swahili language? Today, we’re going on an exciting journey to explore the countries where you can hear “Jambo!” (that’s “Hello!” in Swahili) as you walk down the street.

Our first stop is beautiful Tanzania 🇹🇿, where Swahili was born. Right next door, we have Kenya 🇰🇪, famous for its amazing wildlife. Don’t forget to say “Asante” (thank you) when you’re there!
Moving on, we reach Uganda 🇺🇬, known as the “Pearl of Africa.” Then we hop over to Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Burundi 🇧🇮, two small countries with big hearts.
Next up is the Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩, a huge country with lots to see. We then visit South Sudan 🇸🇸, one of the world’s newest countries, and Somalia 🇸🇴 on the Horn of Africa.
Our journey takes us to Mozambique 🇲🇿, with its beautiful beaches, and Malawi 🇲🇼, home to a huge, sparkling lake. We also stop by Zambia 🇿🇲, where you can see the incredible Victoria Falls.
Last but not least, we reach the Comoros 🇰🇲, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean. What a trip!
In all these places, Swahili helps people talk to each other, even if it’s not always the main language. It’s like a friendly bridge connecting millions of people across East and Central Africa.
