Born Fosi Mpule Hamis on December 31, 1994, in Mombasa, Trisha Khalid’s journey to becoming one of Kenya’s beloved actresses is a tale of perseverance and talent.

The youngest of six siblings, Khalid was raised by a single mother after losing her father at a young age.

She attended Star of the Sea Primary and Secondary Schools in Mombasa’s Kisauni Constituency, later pursuing a course in Cabin Crew during college.

Although she initially entered the world of modeling, participating in high-profile ad campaigns, it was a viral TikTok skit that catapulted her into the spotlight. The “Tafuta mtu akushike” video amassed a huge following, catching the eye of industry professionals.

Khalid’s big break came when Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan invited her to star in the Maisha Magic show “Kovu.” Despite initial hesitation, Khalid embraced the opportunity, leading to her current role in the popular series “Becky.”

Now 29 years old, Khalid has become a household name in Kenya’s entertainment industry. Her story, from a coastal girl to a national star, continues to inspire many young Kenyans dreaming of a career in the arts.
